  • Abstract

We are interested in the neural basis of cognition. We are investigating how the neural networks within and across brain areas form specialized systems underlying brain functions.

    Our main goals are

    1. To understand the role of different brain regions in cognitive functions.
    2. To reveal how different cell types participate in these functions.
    3. To use disease models to test whether our findings can form the basis of future clinical studies.

    Techniques

We use behavioral studies, electrophysiology, imaging, optogenetics, quantitative data analysis and modelling.
